Shard & Star Priority

Stars multiply kit breakpoints—extra Act Again windows, aura power, survivability. Spreading shards evenly is the fastest way to feel weak. This page ranks who to feed first when materials are tight, then links to each unit’s own star notes.

Rules of thumb

  1. 1. Enabler before third DPS

Act Again / battery / main healer stars often unlock more clear speed than another underbuilt carry.

  2. 2. Hit identity nodes

Push carries to the star that unlocks their kit (often 3★ then 5★). Stopping one node short wastes the whole farm.

  3. 3. Tanks can wait—sometimes

If cover tools already work at base, Defenders can sit lower while DPS/support claim shards. Exceptions: SP tanks that are your only frontline.

  4. 4. Collabs are optional taxes

Only deep-invest collab units you own and enjoy—banners may not return, and shards can soft-lock your main faction core.

  5. 5. One core, then widen

Aim for a 4–6 unit clear team with real stars before collecting 12 half-built legendaries. See early teams.

FAQ

Should I 5★ a unit I don’t use yet?
Rarely. Bank shards until the unit is in your active clear core or you know a mode requires them.
Where is the per-unit star advice?
On each character page under star priority / skill rows—start from the character list.

Community-oriented investment order for EN accounts. Not official advice from XD Entertainment. Meta and farms change with patches.
