Durable offensive collab unit with Sign skills and potions for flexible single and multi-target fights.

Player notes

Geralt is a Legendary Watcher tagged with Drifter, SoC. In practical terms they cover healing, Act Again, and battery / buff enable. Durable offensive collab unit with Sign skills and potions for flexible single and multi-target fights.

Slot correct Signs per stage. Wrong skill loadout wastes his adaptability.

In the role triangle, lean on free damage into Destroyers. Stars and gear still matter more than matchup alone on hard maps.

Star plan on this page (“See guide”) is a budgeting hint: finish the first power spike that stabilizes clears, then reassess against your enabler and main carry before dumping every shard here.

Geralt deep guide

Overview

Geralt is the collab front-line threat many players actually finish boards with: durable enough to take a hit, sharp enough to delete elites when his setup lands. He is not a free ‘install and win’ button—he wants correct approach angles and a real enabler behind him.

If you own the Witcher package, treat Geralt as a primary physical carry for story and mid-hard content. If you only own him solo, he still works inside a normal SP Inanna shell; you do not need full collab mono to justify building him.

Openers

  1. Identify the elite or Breaker-shaped target you can actually kill this cycle.
  2. Use mobility / approach tools so you are not walking into free Seeker punish.
  3. Spend the high-damage skill only when the kill or break is real—not for chip.
  4. Hold defensive reactions for the turn enemies will focus him.

Mid-fight

Boss maps: play him as a controlled assassin-tank hybrid—don’t tunnel wave clear if Camelot or SP Samantha clear trash better. Collab teammates (Yennefer, Ciri, Triss) are gravy, not mandatory. Feed Act Again when two skills convert into a phase skip.

Investment

High if he is your best collab DPS; medium if Col/Camelot already clear everything. Stars raise survivability and kill thresholds. Gear toward physical damage and uptime, not pure glass.

Pitfalls

  • Building him with zero enabler and calling the kit weak.
  • Forcing mono-Collab when role coverage collapses.
  • Face-tanking every pack instead of choosing fights.

When to skip

Skip heavy starring if you already field two polished SSS physical cores and need supports more than another DPS.

From the editor's clears

Collab or not, he feels like a complete carry when enabled—less fragile than pure Seekers, less setup-heavy than Camelot’s full loop.

Is Geralt worth building?

High if he is your best collab DPS; medium if Col/Camelot already clear everything. Stars raise survivability and kill thresholds. Gear toward physical damage and uptime, not pure glass.

Role and matchups

Gear deep dive

  • Weapon — Verdict of Justice: Aggressive tarot for assassins and finishers. Prefer it when finishers and crit-stacking carries.
  • Trinket — Focus Lens: Crit lens for physical carries mid-game. Best when universal crit budget piece — highest build count in the DB.
  • Tarot — Temperance: Balanced mid-game tarot for flexible builds. Take it for flexible mid-game tarot when bis is missing — very high build count.

Team plan

Build the party around Geralt as the enabler: one primary DPS (Seeker/Breaker/Destroyer), one frontline Defender, then flex for matchups or faction auras (Drifter / SoC). Feed Act Again and NRG into the carry first.

  • Open with Whirl when the board allows a clean cast.
  • Keep reaction (Fleet Footed -) online—do not strip it for vanity actives mid-fight.
  • Basic attack (Powerful Attack) is for reposition turns or when NRG is dry.
  • Spend the first enable on your invested carry, not a half-built flex unit.
